Group Insurance Manager

Job Description:-
Our client is a leading Group Treasury based in the UAE. They are currently inviting applications for the role of Group Insurance Manager to provide cost effective solutions to help manage the risks and opportunities of insurance risk. The role will include:
- Assessment of optimal corporate insurance programme structure, risk financing methods and purchase of appropriate classes
- Preparation of annual budgets for all Group business units
- Calculation of insurable risk allocation for all Group business units
- Assistance for and supervision of crisis management plans to key Group sites
- Supervision of Group premium payments to insurers and internal insurable risk budgeting and chargeouts
- Supervision of provision of Group-wide risk data to brokers
- Checking and negotiating insurance policy wordings with and through brokers
- Checking and advising on insurance and indemnity clauses in Group/supplier contracts
- Chairing regular broker meetings, claims review and relationship meetings with insurers and others
- Selection, engagement and supervision of service providers and their activities to ensure correct strategic direction and ongoing value for money
- Supervision of handling of large losses by team with internal departments, overseas subsidiaries, loss adjusters, brokers, solicitors and external insurers
- Identification and implementation or recommendation of risk improvement opportunities
- Cultivation of partnerships in order to add value to the risk management process
The successful candidate will be a university graduate and ACII / AIRM qualified. They will have a minimum of 7 years experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the management of insurance risk.  You will have strong communication skills and be highly literate and numerate and have the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships.
