Job Description:-
Our client is a Saudi based securities arm of a leading Middle East Merchant bank with its primary focus on the GCC countries. Providing client-led innovative financial products and services; their client base includes major private sector corporations; Gulf based Financial Institutions, multi-national companies active in the Middle East region and governments of the GCC States.
To ensure compliance with CMA regulations, they are now seeking an experienced and qualified Compliance Officer & MLRO. Based in Riyadh and reporting to the CEO, you will establish the Compliance function in accordance with Basel II and ensure full adherence to all relevant laws, regulations and codes in Saudi Arabia.
With proven Compliance / MLRO experience you will develop and update policies and procedures for all functions, services and products to reflect the requirements of rules and regulations and will encourage best practice by providing appropriate staff training. Providing Senior Management and the Board with counsel and advice on Corporate Governance matters in Saudi Arabia, you will additionally provide timely updates on Compliance and AML / CFT matters to the Head of Compliance.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- University Degree from a recognized institution
- A minimum 10 years overall experience
- At least 7 years relevant experience in a financial institution
- Excellent man management and communication skills – tact and diplomacy are essential
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic
- Clear experience of AML / CFT policies and procedures
