Job Description:-
Our client is an Islamic Investment Banking and Wealth Management firm providing creative and unique solutions to their clients’ financial requirements through a collaborative process based on ethics, understanding and trust. A boutique investment outfit, they were formed to be the “clients’ Islamic investment banker of choice” in the GCC region. Working with Corporations, UHNWI and FI in the region, they are looking to strengthen their sales team and appoint a Head of Placement to oversee their growing regional business.
Based in Bahrain and reporting to the CEO, you will have a minimum 10 years experience in private wealth management, a loyal client base with an enviable portfolio of GCC clients. With a comprehensive knowledge of all financial services products covering multi asset classes and investment products; you will have first class client relationship, business development and portfolio management skills.
With full management of, and P&L responsibility for, the private clients business; you will work with senior executives to shape the strategy and direction of the Bank, overseeing and developing a team of private banking professionals. You will appoint, motivate and manage Country Managers who are responsible for defined segments of the business, in order to maximize the long and short term profits by managing and directing its business into areas of activity which are sound, profitable and consistent with policies and strategies.
This is a phenomenal opportunity for an ambitious Senior Private Banker with a strong track record in private banking and wealth management to carve out a niche role in a growing organisation. Occupying a high profile management and leadership position both within the team and the bank as a whole, you will posses a high degree of gravitas along with prior experience of having built a private banking business in the Middle East.
To be considered for this pivotal role, you will have:
- Minimum 10 years previous experience in Private Banking in the GCC arena
- Established client base you would be able to transfer
- Demonstrable track record
- Excellent communication skills in English – Arabic is desirable
- Held similar positions within the investment banking, asset management or private banking markets
- Extremely strong reputation and credibility
