Country Manager - Downstream Engineering Services

Job Description:-

Our client is a major provider of Engineered Industrial Services in the GCC, Middle East and Asia, for the Petrochemical, Power, Oil and Gas Sectors. They require a Country Manager to oversee operations in the UAE, based out of Abu Dhabi.

Duties and Key Responsibilities include;

• The control of the UAE division as a separate entity, on behalf of the Group.
• Using corporate guide lines and procedures issued by the Group Head Office Bahrain.
• Preparing full and detailed progress reports on all projects currently running in the UAE.
• All local HR duties in accordance with Head Office directives.
• All local procurement inclusive of controlling with the assistance of Head Office Accounts all cash flow.
• Managing and maintaining local accounting systems, continually reporting feedback to Head office Accounts department.
• Developing business relationships with present and future customers and send full detail of dealings to Sales and Marketing Manager in Head Office.
• Promoting the name of the Group and ensuring the company is not only known in the country, but is formally prequalified for all the services that the Group offers.
• Informing the Sales and Marketing Manager in Head Office of all future projects.
• Assisting Sales and Marketing as required in customer liaison.
• Ensuring all safety in the UAE is up to standard, acting on guidelines issued by the Chief Executive Officer.

The successful candidate will need to have;

A Chemical/Mechanical degree or equivalent.

An IOSH qualification or equivalent.

Minimum of 15 years experience in a management capacity.

Good Middle East experience and contacts.

A full understanding of project Management and contract control.

Be able to develop business relations with Customers and Management at all levels.

Have an aptitude for understanding and compiling profit and loss accounting procedures.

Be able to control a multinational work force.

Understand all the services that the Group offers.

Use computers and application software that includes spreadsheets and other application software relating specifically to the projects executed by the company.
