Job Description:-

Our client is one of the largest groups in Saudi Arabia, they operate or actively participate in more than 40 companies, often in partnership with leading multinationals. Internationally, they are global investors, with emphasis on both public and private equities and on fixed income securities. The Group is both a leading diversified Saudi enterprise and a major participant in the field of global investing. The company also manages a substantial portfolio of investments in public quoted and private companies in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in the MENA region.

They are looking for someone to be a sector head reporting directly to the Head of Investments.
Research consists of a group of analysts (currently six) tasked with providing research support to the group’s public and private equity activities. The Head of Research will lead and manage this group as well as producing his or her own research.

The ideal candidate will most likely have:

- An undergraduate degree and/or an MBA or similar qualification

- 12 to 15 years professional experience in investments and/or corporate finance

- An analytic approach and research orientation

- In‐depth understanding of and experience in using all major valuation methods

- Ability to project conclusions succinctly and gain acceptance of ideas

- Team oriented approach and be willing to coach and develop juniors

- Professional manner such that he or she can represent the group to the outside world in an appropriate manner

- Solid experience in the MENA region is a must

With regard to public equity, research will involve keeping abreast of research material on markets and companies provided by brokerage houses as well as producing in‐house studies on certain key stocks and sectors (selected on the basis of their actual or potential significance in the group’s portfolio and the availability of quality third party research).

With regard to private equity, Research will provide qualitative and quantitative evaluation of potential investment opportunities. It is also envisaged that this group will work closely with the Finance Department with regard to financial analysis relating to the group’s operating companies.
