Job Description:-
This is an exciting newly created opportunity to take responsibility for all aspects of financial accounting including the maintenance and review of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) ledgers. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, processing and documentation of the accounting function, specifically the Group consolidation function. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant you will have significant exposure to and interaction with all facets of the business.
Duties:
Responsibilities will include;

Assist in the preparation of the Group Financial Consolidation

Facilitate the development and automation of the Group consolidation function

Provide treasury and Investment technical accounting advice.

Identify and maintain SPV books established for all new deals

Maintenance of all current SPV accounts ensuring the accounting for SPV structures is consistent with documentation

Maintenance of Unicorn accounting policies and procedures

Develop and maintain General Ledger feeds and reporting

Prepare annual audit files for the Banks books and the books of the SPV's

Overview reconciliations
-
Assist financial control with month end and year end processes

Meet with Auditors to ensure IFRS acceptability and explain SPV structures
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with c. 5 years experience, a sound understanding of IFRS and IAS and an appreciation of auditing standards and methodologies. Experience in a Chartered Accounting practice together with Islamic Investment banking would be ideal.
You will have experience of consolidating group accounts and have the ability to work to tight deadlines in a technically complex environment. A proactive approach to process improvement will be well rewarded.
