Job Description:-

A top Middle East investment Bank has received approval from Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) to commence operations in the Kingdom.

The Client will provide the Saudi market with an integrated and comprehensive range of Islamic investment products and services, with the full support and depth by the established Islamic investment bank headquartered in Bahrain.

The Client is looking to appoint a Head of Brokerage based in Riyadh, to work closely with the MD&CEO in Riyadh to establish and run the Brokerage business.

Duties:

• Head the brokerage activity in KSA
  

• Supervise the daily activities of the brokerage
  

• Prepare and update Business plans for the brokerage
  

• Develop and maintain strong communications with CMA and Tadawul and ensure that all CMA/Tadawul guidelines are met
  

• Initiate corporate development initiatives and lead marketing campaigns to develop and generate new business/clients
  

• Make presentations to clients and potential customers
  

• Coordinate with major institutional clients on transactions
  

• Develop and manage discretionary portfolios for our clients and ensure comprehensive reporting
  

• Provide client support in the form of investment research and recommendations
  

• Approve trade tickets, expenditures, etc.
  

• Liaise with other Brokerage & Asset Management entities to develop and strengthen our platform from both marketing/client relationship perspective, access to regional financial markets and financial product offering
  

• Oversee opening/closing of accounts and sign off on account statements
  

• Reviews and updates account opening documentation inc. KYC and ALM requirements
  

• Supports innovation and technology platform to compete effectively in the marketplace
  

• Pro actively manage SLA contracts & relationships (ex. custody, clearing, cash management, etc.)
  

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, it is essential to have;

• 10+ years with relevant experience with a major financial institution or a brokerage house
  

• Successful track record in marketing and business development
  

• Business or finance Degree, ideally with post grad financial qualification (CA, CFA, Series 7 Broker, or equivalent)
  

• Saudi or Middle Eastern experience
  

• Strong analytical skills
  

• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  

• Fluency in Arabic & in English
