Job Description:-
Our client is an industrial services group based in Bahrain with the backing of one of the largest investment banks in the region. The group operates in the GCC with offices in Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE.
They are seeking an experienced, professional and highly skilled candidate to join as Chief Accountant. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of the company’s financial accounts in compliance with IFRS
- Maintenance of the company’s general ledger to ensure that entries are passed in an accurate and timely manner
- Responsible for the company’s accounts payable and expense control systems,
- Prepare annual business plan and monthly forecast information (cash flow, budget updates, manpower)
- Establish and document financial accounting department processes and procedures (in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements
- Manage the accounting function while supervising, mentoring and developing the accounting staff, which currently includes two (2) staff accountants
The successful candidate will need to have:
- A minimum of 5 years accounting management experience (GL and subsidiary ledgers) with a solid history of managing 1-3 direct reports.
- ACCA/CPA qualification
- A strong proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel & MS Word
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation skills
